Our culinary philosophy

Our award winning chef, Steven Schultz, learned his trade in Paris, France. Then perfected his skill in Scottsdale and Tucson, Arizona. While living in Monterey Bay above Cannery Row and working in Carmel Valley, California, Chef Schultz came to appreciate the many food artisans and incredible bounty of the Salinas Valley Agricultural Area and Pacific Ocean.

At Wild Garlic Grill, the chef melanges Gilroy garlic with French cooking technique, California fresh produce and an insistence on top quality ingredients, our wine list strives to use family run boutique quality wines that are not mass produced. Check out our special menu board, this will have some of Chef Schultz’ best specialty dishes.

Yummy food

Presented nicely on the plate. Waiter explained all the dish specials with knowledge and even when it was served so you knew exactly what was on your plate. Dessert was yummy too.

Before crossing the big pond years ago, the ambitious young chef earned an advanced diploma from the historied École de Cuisine La Varenne — one of the finest cooking schools in Paris. Decades later, with many time-honored techniques under his belt and creativity in his soul, Schutlz creates dazzling food at the Wild Garlic Grill.

Wild Garlic Grill has been serving the Tucson community for more than 10 years. Originally located near Grant Road and First Avenue, the restaurant moved to the larger and better-appointed space at Skyline Drive and Campbell Avenue in 2017. There the story of Executive Chef Steven Schultz’s contributions to the Tucson culinary scene continues.

When diners miss home, when they want to feel like they’re wrapped in comfort, the place to go is Wild Garlic Grill on 2870 E. Skyline Drive. Ask for the Oregon wild mushroom soup laced with cream paired with a serving of roasted beet salad with baked goat cheese and tender greens, topped with a white truffle oil and balsamic vinegar reduction. It’s high-end comfort, but comfort nonetheless.
